REFLECTIVE CONSULTATIONΒ | Spring 2026

You already understand what's happening. You're just not sure why it still feels this hard to move through.

You've done the reading. You recognize the patterns. You can name the dynamic, sometimes better than the people around you can. And yet you still find yourself returning to the same questions, the same crossroads, the same internal tension that doesn't seem to resolve on its own.

This session is for that.

What this is

A single 90-minute reflective consultation designed to help you see your own situation more clearly.

A single focused conversation can sometimes replace months of circling. Not because it provides answers you don't have, but because it creates the conditions for your own clarity to surface.

This session is oriented toward sense-making. We slow things down enough to notice patterns, name what's been hard to articulate, and clarify what matters most right now β€” beneath the noise of everything you've been holding.

This consultation is often most useful when:

You feel mentally aware but internally unsettled. When you understand the dynamics at play but still feel conflicted or unsure how to move forward without abandoning yourself. When the questions you're carrying don't feel urgent enough for therapy, but feel too heavy or complex to keep holding alone.

People often leave with clearer language for what's been hard to name, a steadier sense of why something has felt stuck, and less internal pressure around a decision or relationship they've been circling.

This may be a good fit if you:
  • Are an adult child of an emotionally immature parent
  • Feel emotionally and intellectually aware, but still stalled or conflicted
  • Are at a decision point or relational impasse
  • Are looking for clarity rather than new advice or action steps
  • Prefer thoughtful reflection over motivational or goal-driven coaching

This session is not designed for:
  • Crisis support or emotional containment
  • Trauma processing or therapeutic treatment
  • Ongoing coaching, accountability, or follow-up access
  • Being told what you should do next
  • Anyone under the age of 18

How it works

We talk through what's been coming up for you. Together we pay attention to the patterns, assumptions, emotional dynamics, and language that are often genuinely hard to see from inside your own situation.

The session is intentionally one-time and finite. That structure is part of what makes it work β€” the container creates focus, and focus is often what allows clarity to emerge faster than months of thinking alone.

There is no homework. No follow-up framework. No pressure to arrive with a specific agenda. You bring what feels most alive right now, and we work with that.

A note from Tricia

I built this offering for the person who has already done a significant amount of internal work and still finds themselves stuck at the same juncture.Β

Sometimes the most clarifying thing is a single conversation with someone who understands the specific terrain you're navigating and can reflect back what you're already carrying with more precision than the situation has allowed you to see on your own.

This is that conversation.

Reflective Private Consultation Frequently Asked Questions

Who does this tend to help most?

This consultation tends to help you most if you already reflect deeply but find yourself returning to the same questions without feeling clearer.

You may be navigating complex family dynamics β€” often with an emotionally immature parent. You're thoughtful, aware of the patterns involved, and something still hasn't settled despite time and genuine effort to understand it.

This work is particularly useful at decision points and relational impasses, where a single focused conversation can offer more clarity than months of thinking alone. It's not designed for ongoing emotional support, reassurance, or step-by-step guidance. The focus is on perspective, self-trust, and clarity.

Is this therapy or coaching?

Neither. This is a one-time reflective consultation.

It isn't therapy and it isn't coaching. There's no treatment, diagnosis, skills training, or ongoing support structure. The session is focused entirely on reflection, pattern recognition, and helping you see your situation more clearly so you can make your own decisions with less internal friction.

If you're currently in therapy and looking for a complementary thinking space, this can work well alongside that. If you're in active crisis or need ongoing emotional containment, this would not be the right fit.

What actually happens during the session?

We slow down together and focus on what's been coming up for you β€” the patterns, assumptions, emotional dynamics, and language that are genuinely difficult to see clearly from inside your own situation.

The session isn't a monologue or a lecture. It's a structured conversation where the quality of attention matters as much as the content. Most people find that being heard with precision β€” by someone who understands the specific terrain they're navigating β€” allows things to become clearer faster than they expected.

The aim isn't to arrive at a tidy conclusion. It's to leave with a clearer sense of what's actually been shaping the difficulty, and what you already know about how to move through it.

Will you tell me what to do?

No. This session is not directive or advice-giving.

I won't tell you what choice to make, what boundary to set, or what your next step should be. Instead, the session focuses on helping you understand what's been shaping your indecision or uncertainty in the first place.

For most people, that process makes it significantly easier to trust their own thinking and arrive at decisions with less internal pressure. The value is in reflection and perspective β€” not instruction or direction. You are the authority on your own life. The session is designed to help you hear that more clearly.

What kinds of situations are a good fit for this session?

This consultation is often helpful when you're navigating:

  • Family dynamics with an emotionally immature parent
  • A boundary decision or relational impasse you've been circling
  • A significant identity shift, grief, or ambivalence about a relationship or life direction
  • A situation that feels stuck despite genuine insight and self-awareness

On that last point β€” grief and identity shifts deserve a specific mention. These experiences often don't fit neatly into crisis support or ongoing therapy, and yet they can be some of the heaviest things to carry alone. A single focused conversation can sometimes offer the kind of grounding and clarity that months of private processing hasn't been able to provide.

If you're unsure whether your situation fits, the intake form that appears during booking gives you a brief opportunity to describe what you're navigating. If it doesn't seem like a strong fit, I'll let you know and may suggest a different type of support.

Is this a good fit if I'm already in therapy?

It can be. Some people use this session as a complementary thinking space alongside ongoing therapy β€” particularly when they want a focused conversation about a specific situation rather than the broader work therapy involves. Others come specifically because they're not looking for ongoing therapeutic support at this time.

If you're in active crisis or need emotional containment, this would not be the right fit. Please seek support from a licensed mental health professional or contact 988 if you need immediate help.

Do I get follow-up support after the session?

No. This is a one-time consultation. There is no follow-up access, messaging, or ongoing support included after the session ends.

That's intentional. The finite container is part of what makes the session work β€” it keeps the conversation focused and prevents the kind of overprocessing that often delays clarity rather than supporting it. You'll leave with what emerged, and you'll have space to let it settle on your own terms.

How does the booking process work?

When you click the booking link, you'll complete a brief intake form before selecting your session time. The intake questions are there to help confirm that this is a good fit for what you're navigating. Once you've completed the form and selected a time, you'll proceed to payment to confirm your booking.

Your session is not reserved until payment is completed. You'll receive a confirmation with yourΒ video link and any relevant details by email.

What is the cancellation and refund policy?

Because sessions are limited and held in reserved time, the following policies apply:

Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours notice are non-refundable and will be considered forfeited. No-shows are non-refundable.

You may reschedule once with a minimum of 24 hours notice at no additional charge. Rescheduling requests made with less than 24 hours notice will be treated as a cancellation.

If a session cannot proceed due to a cancellation or technical failure on my end, you will be offered a full reschedule or a complete refund β€” your choice.

Refund requests related to genuinely unforeseen circumstances will be considered at my discretion. I'd rather handle edge cases with care than hide behind a rigid policy.

For complete terms, please review the full Terms of Service before booking.

About Me

Hi, I'm Tricia.

For nearly 20 years I worked inside the mental health system as a trauma therapist and consultant β€” helping people name experiences that had never been clearly named. Emotional neglect. Chronic over-responsibility. The particular confusion that arises when the people who were supposed to protect you were also the ones causing harm.

This work has always been personal for me as well as professional. I understand this terrain from the inside, which is part of why I've spent so long learning how to navigate it carefully.

What I noticed over nearly two decades in clinical spaces is that the people who struggle most aren't the ones who lack self-awareness. They're often the most reflective people in the room. What they're missing isn't more information β€” it's a space that can hold the specific complexity of what they're carrying without oversimplifying it, pathologizing it, or asking them to move faster than is actually sustainable.

That's what The Healing Eras was built for.

This work requires more than good intentions. Understanding emotionally immature family systems β€” the power dynamics, the developmental impact, the way these patterns live in the body and show up in adult relationships and decisions β€” requires real training and genuine familiarity with the territory. I bring both.

The Healing Eras isn't therapy. But it is built with the same care, containment, and ethical grounding β€” paired with practical tools and space for the kind of reflection that supports clarity rather than more circling.

If you're someone who thinks deeply, already understands more than most people in your life realize, and is still looking for a space that can meet you at that level β€” this was built with you in mind.
